Ligia Ford received her Masters in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Secondary Science, from New Mexico State University. After doing her student teaching work in the beautiful tropical country of Belize, she returned to New Mexico to teach in little Socorro, where she taught Life Science and MESA for two years. She has been a guide for 3 months until her position started as Coordinator for NM MESA. She has worked with the many wonderful teachers on what counts most: students and their success. After two years, she has opted to work more closely with students in an alternative and creative environment, signing on as Program Coordinator for Academy of Young Scientists (AYS).
