UNM STEM-H Center for Outreach, Research & Education

Sponsoring Organization:
University of New Mexico

Central NM Science & Engineering Research Challenge (regional "science fair") is held at UNM main campus annually in March. Central NM Science Olympiad is held at UNM main campus annually in February. The SW Region Junior Science & Humanities Symposium is held at UNM annually in late February or early March. Teacher Professional Development Workshop Series is held annually in the fall in Albuquerque. Student Research Workshop(s) are held annually in October in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area. Website address is http://stemed.unm.edu

The STEM-H Center also has a small Resource Center/Lending Library of small scientific/engineering equipment that can be signed out for short periods of time by teachers, homeschoolers, students, community groups, after school programs, museums, etc. Email scifair@unm.edu for a catalog of our current inventory. At this time, all equipment signed out must be picked up and brought back to the STEM-H Center on UNM's main campus in Albuquerque as we do not have the resources available to facilitate delivery/mailing.

The STEM-H Center also manages the NM STEM-H Connection statewide collaborative website.
