You will NOT want to miss this GREAT training for middle & high school teachers! It offers a comprehensive set of materials and training on vertebrate animal care and use in pre-college student research. Members of the UNM Animal Care & Use Committee, including the University veterinarian, will facilitate this workshop full of immediately useful information on the proper care of research animal subjects, documentation of animal care & use in student research plans/procedures, clarification of potential problem areas, resources to access for additional information/ guidance, and the ethical issues involved with using vertebrate animals as research subjects.
